STABBED IN THE FACE

Cinemavixion Review

Jason Matherne's "Stabbed in the Face" plunges viewers into a quintessential slasher scenario, set against the backdrop of a Halloween party within a purportedly haunted house. Released in 2004, this independent horror feature, starring Eric Fox, Dana Kieferle, and Steve Waltz, leans into its B-movie roots with a narrative centered on a group of inebriated and sexually charged teenagers who become the prey of a relentless, bloodthirsty killer. While the premise offers familiar tropes of the genre, the film's execution, as described, promises a night of escalating terror and gruesome encounters, aiming to satisfy fans of straightforward, high-octane horror. With an IMDb rating of 4.8, "Stabbed in the Face" may not be aiming for critical acclaim but rather for a visceral thrill, making it a potentially enjoyable, if formulaic, watch for enthusiasts of the slasher subgenre.
