SPIRIT RIDERS

Cinemavixion Review

Brian T. Jaynes' "Spirit Riders" offers a poignant exploration of healing and redemption through the powerful bond between humans and horses. The film centers on Kacie Lewis, a troubled teen whose journey of grief and anger takes an unexpected turn when she's sentenced to an equine therapy program. It's within this setting that she encounters Blaze, a horse mirroring her own struggles with adjustment. The narrative beautifully unfolds as Kacie, under the stern yet wise guidance of Rex, learns not only to train Blaze but also to confront her past. Allie Deberry delivers a compelling performance as Kacie, capturing the character's raw vulnerability and gradual transformation. Lance Henriksen brings gravitas to his role as the ranch owner, providing a steady anchor for Kacie's emotional arc. "Spirit Riders" is a touching family drama that emphasizes forgiveness, resilience, and the profound therapeutic power of animals, making it a worthy watch for those seeking an uplifting story.
