SOUND OF HORROR

Cinemavixion Review

José Antonio Nieves Conde's "Sound of Horror" (1966) plunges viewers into a chilling encounter in the remote Greek mountains. The narrative follows a treasure-hunting expedition whose excavation efforts inadvertently unleash an ancient, invisible terror from a prehistoric cave. This atmospheric horror film, starring James Philbrook, Arturo Fernández, and Soledad Miranda, builds suspense through the unknown, as the isolated group grapples with a deadly, unseen force. While not as widely recognized as some contemporaries, "Sound of Horror" offers a unique blend of classic monster movie tropes and a palpable sense of dread, making it a noteworthy, albeit niche, entry in the genre for those seeking a suspenseful, retro horror experience.
