SONS OF TERROR

Cinemavixion Review

David Rodriguez's "Sons of Terror" unflinchingly tackles the turbulent aftermath of 9/11 through the lens of adolescent turmoil. Set against a backdrop of national anxiety and escalating global conflict, the film follows a Midwestern teenager whose personal life becomes entangled in the dangerous currents of fear and prejudice. The narrative charts a chilling descent from a seemingly isolated high school incident into a shocking hate crime that reverberates across the nation. Matt O'Leary, Marshall Allman, and Jonathan Halyalkar deliver performances that capture the vulnerability and burgeoning aggression of youth grappling with forces far beyond their comprehension. The film serves as a stark reminder of how societal anxieties can manifest in devastating personal tragedies, prompting reflection on the complex interplay between geopolitical events and individual lives.
