The plot unfolds as Jimmy, with the support of his fellow students, navigates the often murky world of racing, encountering both the genuine excitement of competition and the underhanded tactics of gamblers determined to see his horse, Lightning Lad, lose. Toby Wing as the spoiled rich girl Marion Braddock and Fuzzy Knight add to the ensemble cast.
