SHE'S BACK

Cinemavixion Review

In "She's Back" (1989), director Tim Kincaid delivers a quirky revenge fantasy anchored by a memorable performance from Carrie Fisher as the spectral Beatrice. When Beatrice is brutally murdered, her spirit, invisible and unheard by all but her meek husband Paul, embarks on a mission of vengeance. Fisher imbues Beatrice with a persistent, nagging energy that drives the narrative, compelling Paul (Robert Joy) to confront the criminals responsible for her demise. The film blends elements of supernatural thriller and dark comedy, offering a unique take on the avenging spirit trope. While the plot may tread unconventional paths, Fisher's presence elevates the material, making "She's Back" a cult curiosity worth discovering for its distinctive premise and Fisher's spirited, posthumous performance.
