SEX WORK EXPOSED: THE CHICKEN RANCH

Cinemavixion Review

Nick Broomfield and Sandi Sissel's "Chicken Ranch" offers a rare and unfiltered glimpse into the world of legal prostitution in Nevada, focusing on one of the state's few remaining legal brothels. The documentary grants viewers unprecedented access, delving deeply into the daily lives and interactions of both the sex workers and their clientele. By meticulously documenting these relationships, the film challenges conventional perceptions and prompts critical reflection on societal norms, the intricacies of human connection, and the consequences of regulating the sex industry. It is a bold exploration that invites contemplation on complex ethical and social issues, presented with a direct and unflinching gaze.
