REAL FAMILIES: JUVENILE PRISON SYSTEMS EXPOSED

Cinemavixion Review

This documentary offers a stark and unflinching look into the grim realities of juvenile prison systems across the globe. Through unprecedented access, the film exposes the harrowing experiences of young offenders, detailing inhumane conditions, denial of due process, and prolonged detention without charge. It highlights the alarming vulnerability of these children, who are often housed with adults, subjected to abuse, and face sentencing without ever seeing a courtroom. The narrative powerfully contrasts the lives of these incarcerated youth with the indifference of the outside world. By examining diverse countries like the USA, India, the UK, and Brazil, the film underscores the systemic failures that allow such degradation to persist, serving as a vital, albeit disturbing, exposé on a neglected issue.
