SABRINA: DADDY'S GIRL

Cinemavixion Review

This documentary plunges into the grim narrative of 'Sabrina: Daddy's Girl,' chronicling a chilling saga of violence spanning two generations. The film meticulously details the disturbing parallel lives of Louis van Schoor and his daughter, Sabrina. Louis, a former security guard, carries the burden of 39 confessed murders from the 1980s. His daughter, Sabrina, embarked on her own violent path by orchestrating the murder of her mother, leading to a 25-year sentence. The documentary's most arresting aspect is the proximity of their incarceration, with both father and daughter residing within the same East London prison complex until Louis's release in 2004. The film confronts themes of inherited trauma, the cyclical nature of violence, and the darkness lurking within seemingly ordinary lives, offering a stark and unsettling portrait of a family bound by bloodshed.
