John H. Auer's 1937 screwball comedy, "Rhythm in the Clouds," offers a delightful if somewhat predictable romp through the aspirations of a struggling songwriter. The film's charm lies in its classic premise: Judy Walker, portrayed with vivacity by Patricia Ellis, ingeniously cons her way into the lavish apartment of a renowned composer while he's away. Seizing the opportunity, she not only luxuriates in his possessions but also leverages his name to propel her own songwriting career, culminating in a hit tune that brings the unsuspecting composer back to an unexpected reunion.
