RAYMOND EDMUNDS

Cinemavixion Review

The documentary series 'Crimes That Shook Australia' offers a chillingly detailed exploration of Australia's most disturbing criminal cases. This particular installment delves into the dark history of Raymond Edmunds, a figure whose name became synonymous with terror in Victoria for over twenty years. The series excels in its meticulous reconstruction of events, presenting not just the grim facts but also the human impact through the perspectives of those closest to the tragedies. From the visceral horror of axe murders to the chilling calculation behind mass killings, and the profound injustice of a woman's life sentence, the narrative grips the viewer. Edmunds' story, that of a prolific rapist and murderer, serves as a stark reminder of the depths of human depravity and the lasting scars left on communities. This is a somber, yet essential, watch for those interested in true crime and the darker chapters of Australian history.
