RAGDOLL

Cinemavixion Review

Ben Ivory's 'Ragdoll' plunges viewers into a chilling domestic nightmare. The film masterfully intertwines the anxieties of a fractured family with the encroaching terror of a malevolent presence. As Alice navigates the complexities of her parents' divorce and her mother's new relationship, the discovery of an antique ragdoll within their new home signals a descent into true horror. Ivory builds suspense with a palpable sense of dread, suggesting that some possessions carry more than just memories. The young protagonist's struggle against an unseen force forms the terrifying core of this unsettling tale, offering a fresh, localized take on the haunted object trope.
