THE MADNESS OF HUMPTY DUMPTY

Cinemavixion Review

Daniel Yates and Zach Van Den Bergh's "The Madness of Humpty Dumpty" delves into the fragile psyche of a young woman grappling with early-onset schizophrenia. Returning to her rural childhood home, the protagonist finds herself increasingly disturbed by unsettling events, seemingly linked to a rediscovered doll from her past. As the lines between reality and delusion blur, the film poses a chilling question: is the terror a manifestation of her illness, or is a genuine supernatural force at play? The narrative masterfully explores themes of isolation and the subjective nature of reality, offering a tense psychological thriller that keeps the audience guessing until the very end. With a compelling performance from Emily Webber, the film is a disquieting exploration of internal and external demons.
