PATIENT

Cinemavixion Review

Jason Sheedy's "PATIENT" plunges viewers into a harrowing narrative of survival and supernatural dread. Following an escape from a cult's grim fate, the film centers on a paraplegic hospital patient ensnared by malevolent spirits. The premise is chillingly effective: a curse dictates that anyone who hears her voice will perish, with the only reprieve being the sacrifice of her nephew's soul. Anney Reese delivers a compelling performance as the tormented protagonist, navigating a terrifying predicament that blurs the lines between psychological anguish and genuine spectral horror. The film, co-written by Sheedy and Brett Brooks, adeptly builds suspense, exploring themes of guilt, sacrifice, and the desperate fight for redemption against overwhelming odds. Its taut pacing and disturbing atmosphere make "PATIENT" a noteworthy entry in the psychological horror genre.
