PALMDALE

Cinemavixion Review

Erich Kemp's "Palmdale" presents a gritty, character-driven narrative that delves into the complexities of redemption and fate. The film follows a drifter, portrayed by Lackos, whose violent past catches up with him as he arrives in the city for a job. The plot takes a significant turn when a young woman, played by Olivia Preciado, unexpectedly enters his life, forcing him to confront his destructive path. This encounter serves as a pivotal moment, challenging his resolve and offering a slim chance at a different future. The film masterfully navigates the tension between the character's ingrained violence and the burgeoning possibility of change. While the external data indicates "Palmdale" was released in 2014 and received one nomination, its impact lies in its raw exploration of moral choices. The performances, particularly by the lead actors, anchor the film's emotional weight, making "Palmdale" a compelling watch for those who appreciate introspective crime dramas.
