DARK MERIDIAN

Cinemavixion Review

Rankin Hickman's "Dark Meridian" plunges viewers into the rain-slicked streets of New Orleans, where a morally compromised detective finds himself ensnared in a deadly nocturnal struggle. The film masterfully crafts a tense atmosphere, pitting its protagonist against the clock and a relentless killer amidst a turf war between criminal factions. Billy Slaughter delivers a compelling performance, anchoring the narrative with a gritty portrayal of a man pushed to his limits. While the film garnered some accolades and nominations, its raw, unvarnished depiction of urban decay and desperation is its true reward. "Dark Meridian" is a compelling crime thriller that rewards patient viewing with its intricate plot and palpable sense of dread, a testament to Hickman's directorial vision.
