PAINKILLER

Cinemavixion Review

Mark Savage's 'Painkiller' plunges into the dark heart of the opioid crisis, presenting a visceral narrative of loss and retribution. Michael Paré delivers a compelling performance as a father driven to the edge after a personal tragedy, embarking on a relentless crusade against the pharmaceutical giants he holds responsible. The film masterfully navigates the complex morality of vigilantism, forcing audiences to question the nature of justice when the system fails. While the IMDb rating suggests a divisive reception, the reported 100% on Rotten Tomatoes highlights its potential to resonate powerfully with viewers. Savage’s direction imbues the story with a raw intensity, exploring themes of grief, anger, and the desperate search for accountability in a world consumed by addiction.
