OUTLAWS: HIGHWAYMEN

Cinemavixion Review

This program delves into the captivating, yet often brutal, world of highwaymen. It peels back the romanticized veneer of these figures from literature and explores their tangible impact on the British state and society. By examining the darker realities beneath the dashing image of horse-riding robbers, the content promises a nuanced look at their roles as both social menaces and figures who captured the public imagination. The exploration of their dual nature—threatening wallets while potentially stealing hearts—sets the stage for an engaging narrative that questions historical perceptions.
