OUIJA ROOM

Cinemavixion Review

Henrique Couto's "Ouija Room" plunges viewers into a chilling narrative centered on an agoraphobic woman whose isolation is shattered by her own spectral invitations. The film adeptly explores themes of loneliness and the dangerous allure of the unknown, as the protagonist seeks companionship through a ouija board. What begins as a quest for friendship gradually devolves into a terrifying descent as the summoned spirits reveal their malevolent intentions. The performance of Erica Blackstock anchors the film, effectively conveying the character's vulnerability and growing terror. While the external data notes a modest IMDb rating, the film's premise offers a compelling, albeit unsettling, examination of the consequences of seeking solace in the supernatural. "Ouija Room" is a stark reminder that some doors are best left unopened.
