ON THE INSIDE

Cinemavixion Review

D.W. Brown's "On the Inside" plunges viewers into the disquieting world of Allen Meneric, a troubled soul confined to a psychiatric institution for the criminally insane. The film masterfully blurs the lines between internal turmoil and external threats, as Meneric grapples with both the "ghosts inside his head" and the very real dangers lurking within the institution's walls. Starring a compelling trio in Nick Stahl, Dash Mihok, and Olivia Wilde, the narrative unfolds as a tense fight for survival. The introduction of Mia, a fellow inmate, offers a glimmer of connection amidst the chaos, raising the stakes as Meneric finds himself protecting her from the pervasive violence. "On the Inside" is a stark exploration of sanity, confinement, and the desperate search for redemption in the most harrowing of circumstances.
