OBSTACLES

Cinemavixion Review

This gritty urban drama, "Obstacles," plunges viewers into the heart of inner-city conflict. Directed by D-Shot, the film navigates the treacherous divide between the allure of the streets and the aspirations of a brighter future. It centers on Daryll, a young man caught between the desperate need to provide for his family and the seductive promises of power and respect offered by a life of crime. When his choices lead him to cross paths with an old nemesis, a territorial war ignites, exploring the devastating consequences of ambition and loyalty in a community struggling to survive. The performances, particularly from E-40 and Brian Hooks, anchor the narrative with raw authenticity, portraying the complex motivations and harsh realities faced by its characters. "Obstacles" offers a stark look at the choices that shape lives and the pervasive challenges within urban landscapes.
