NIGHT OF THE CAREGIVER

Cinemavixion Review

Joe Cornet's 'Night of the Caregiver' plunges viewers into a chilling domestic horror, centered on a hospice nurse, Julia, tasked with caring for the seemingly frail Lillian. What begins as a standard caregiving arrangement quickly devolves into a desperate fight for survival as an ancient evil manifests within the isolated home. The film masterfully builds suspense, playing on the vulnerability of its protagonists against an unseen, malevolent force. Natalie Denise Sperl delivers a compelling performance as Julia, navigating fear and determination, while Eileen Dietz lends an unnerving presence as the enigmatic Lillian. The narrative skillfully blends psychological dread with supernatural terror, making for a tense and atmospheric experience that questions the true nature of the darkness lurking just beyond perception. This is a solid entry into the supernatural horror genre, offering a gripping tale of spiritual warfare within confined walls.
