Cinemavixion Review

Ann Harbron's "Niagara: A Docusoap" offers a fascinating glimpse into the multifaceted world surrounding the iconic Niagara Falls. This six-part series ventures beyond the natural wonder to explore the peculiar human elements that thrive in its shadow. Harbron masterfully captures the essence of the region's vibrant and often eccentric characters, from the proprietors of outrageous museums to the hopeful couples participating in the area's ubiquitous marriage industry. The docusoap format allows for an intimate and in-depth look at the tourists and locals alike, revealing the rich tapestry of stories that unfold against the dramatic backdrop of the Falls. It's a compelling exploration of a place often reduced to its postcard image, uncovering the surprising depths of its culture and community.
