MYTHS & MONSTERS - GODS OF THE WILDERNESS

Cinemavixion Review

This documentary delves into the profound connection between humanity's urban existence and the primal allure of the wilderness. It masterfully explores how ancient civilizations, particularly the Greeks, imbued the untamed natural world with divine significance. The narrative weaves together compelling myths, from the tragic fate of Actaeon to the mystical Celtic Otherworld and the formidable Kraken. By examining these ancient tales, including those from the Brothers Grimm, the film prompts a thoughtful reflection on how these stories reveal the complex spiritual beliefs and the inherent human need to understand the unknown, positioning nature not just as a backdrop, but as a source of awe and divine power.
