MR. DISTRICT ATTORNEY

Cinemavixion Review

William Morgan's "Mr. District Attorney" offers a delightful foray into the world of legal intrigue, adapted from its popular radio origins. Dennis O'Keefe stars as P. Cadwallader Jones, a law student whose initial stumbles in the District Attorney's office lead him to a seemingly closed case involving a vanished city official and a substantial sum of stolen money. The narrative gains considerable momentum as the missing funds resurface, igniting a chain of events that transform a cold case into a vibrant, and at times deadly, investigation. O'Keefe brings a charming earnestness to his role, capably supported by a cast that includes the always compelling Peter Lorre. The film successfully blends elements of crime and drama with a touch of whimsical charm, making it an engaging watch for fans of classic mysteries. Its brisk pacing and clever plot twists ensure that even a decades-old case remains captivating.
