MOTORVATION

Cinemavixion Review

In "Motorvation," director Angus Benfield crafts a charming romantic comedy that delves into the life of Fatty Melvin, a well-meaning but awkward small-town janitor. Despite hailing from a lineage of renowned motivational speakers, Fatty struggles to find his own voice. The film thoughtfully explores themes of self-discovery and the pursuit of happiness, advocating for living in the present moment rather than chasing material wealth or future aspirations. While the local data emphasizes Fatty's internal journey and familial encouragement, the external data hints at a more disruptive narrative where Fatty's newfound perspective leads him to "un-motivate" his community, turning conventional wisdom on its head. With a runtime of 97 minutes, "Motorvation" appears to be a gentle, heartwarming tale that encourages viewers to find joy in the "now." The film has reportedly garnered 12 wins and 3 nominations, suggesting a positive reception for its feel-good message and comedic approach.
