LIE HARD

Cinemavixion Review

"Lie Hard" presents a darkly comedic premise where a desperate man's attempt to impress his girlfriend's parents spirals into a dangerous entanglement with a crime syndicate. The film, directed by and starring Ian Niles alongside Melanie Chandra and Catherine Curtin, navigates the precarious balance between ambition and consequence. The narrative cleverly explores the escalating absurdity of maintaining elaborate deceptions, particularly when significant financial stakes are involved. While the plot centers on a pathological liar's increasingly dire situation, the film also touches upon themes of love, desperation, and the often-unforeseen repercussions of our choices. The performances, particularly from Niles as the protagonist, seem to anchor the increasingly convoluted plot, offering a glimpse into the psychological toll of such a life. It's a compelling, if cautionary, tale about the lengths one might go to for acceptance.
