MAKE THE SIGN OF THE CROSS, STRANGER!

Cinemavixion Review

Demofilo Fidani's "Make the Sign of the Cross, Stranger!" (1968) is a Spaghetti Western that delivers a gritty narrative centered on a relentless bounty hunter pursuing the notorious Bandit Carson. The plot thickens with the introduction of Carson's son, Lucas, and a clever escape orchestrated by Zoppo, highlighting the intricate web of loyalties and betrayals common to the genre. Charles Southwood anchors the film with a stoic performance, supported by Jeff Cameron and Cristina Penz. While perhaps not reaching the iconic status of some contemporaries, this Italian production offers a robust Western experience, characterized by its morally ambiguous characters and classic genre tropes. It's a solid entry for fans seeking authentic, action-packed tales from the golden age of Spaghetti Westerns.
