LOVE AMONGST THE STARS

Cinemavixion Review

Jason James' "Love Amongst the Stars" offers a charming collision of academia and unexpected romance. Sara Canning delivers a compelling performance as Heidi, an astronomy professor driven by a passion for her students and the cosmos. Her world, meticulously ordered by celestial mechanics, is delightfully disrupted by the arrival of Patch May's character, August, an archaeologist whose discipline is firmly rooted in the earth. The narrative skillfully juxtaposes the vastness of space with the intricacies of human connection, exploring how differing perspectives can either create conflict or forge an unlikely bond. While the film may not reach the grand scale of the astronomical phenomena it references, it succeeds in its intimate portrayal of intellectual sparks igniting into something more, making it a thoughtful watch for those who appreciate a blend of science and sentiment.
