LIVE ESCAPE

Cinemavixion Review

Joe Lujan's 2022 horror offering, "Live Escape," plunges viewers into a grim scenario where two police officers venture into a disquieting, seemingly abandoned homeless shelter. What begins as a routine investigation quickly devolves into a terrifying encounter with the undead, as the officers find themselves battling zombies and uncovering the disturbing origins of the outbreak. The narrative cleverly weaves a tale of survival against a backdrop of escalating dread, emphasizing the chilling possibility of the creatures escaping into the wider city. While the film garners a modest 2.5 rating on IMDb, its strength lies in its focused B-movie horror premise and the exploration of a contained, escalating threat. Featuring a cast including Bryant Smith, Joe Lujan himself, and Eric Lum, "Live Escape" offers a tense, if somewhat niche, addition to the zombie subgenre.
