LA MEMORIA DEL BUIO

Cinemavixion Review

Lorenzo Bianchini's 'La Memoria del Buio' plunges viewers into a disquieting world where art and the supernatural collide. The film follows photographer Paolo Rinaldi, tasked with documenting forgotten industrial sites. His assignment takes a sinister turn when he ventures into a derelict factory in the Friulian countryside, a place shrouded in darkness and harboring a terrifying entity intrinsically linked to its grim history. Bianchini masterfully uses the desolate landscape and decaying architecture to build a palpable sense of dread, creating an atmospheric horror experience that explores the lingering echoes of the past. The narrative skillfully blends elements of psychological suspense with supernatural terror, leaving the audience to question the boundaries between reality and the spectral manifestations Rinaldi encounters. It's a compelling exploration of how abandoned spaces can hold onto the memories and traumas of those who once occupied them, making 'La Memoria del Buio' a chilling and thought-provoking addition to the genre.
