KING ARTHUR'S BRITAIN

Cinemavixion Review

This historical series, "King Arthur's Britain," offers a compelling revisionist look at post-Roman Britain, challenging the conventional narrative of societal collapse. Presented by the insightful Francis Pryor, the documentary delves into archaeological evidence that suggests a more nuanced transition, marked by cultural continuity and external influences rather than widespread anarchy. Pryor compellingly argues against the traditional depiction of the 'Dark Ages' and the simplistic notion of an Anglo-Saxon invasion, instead uncovering a richer, more complex story of assimilation and adaptation. It's a fascinating exploration that invites viewers to reconsider established historical interpretations, highlighting the dynamic nature of culture and identity in ancient Britain.
