Professor Kate Williams offers a compelling examination of the tumultuous reign of King James II in 'James II: A Disaster Waiting To Happen'. Williams masterfully unpacks the critical events and decisions that led to the monarch's swift downfall after a mere three years on the throne. The narrative vividly reconstructs the political and social climate of the late 17th century, culminating in the pivotal 'Glorious Revolution' of 1688. This documentary provides an insightful look into the complexities of monarchy, succession, and the forces that can shape the destiny of a nation, making for essential viewing for anyone interested in British history.
