JOHN MANARD & TOBY DORR | GREATEST PRISON ESCAPES

Cinemavixion Review

This compelling documentary delves into the audacious prison break orchestrated by Toby Dorr, a dog trainer who fell for inmate John Manard. Using a dog crate as her ingenious escape vehicle, Dorr facilitated Manard's departure from Lansing Correctional Facility. The narrative is enriched by the presence of Billy Hayes, whose own harrowing prison escape served as the inspiration for the acclaimed film 'Midnight Express'. Hayes lends his expertise, guiding viewers through this and other daring escapes with the aid of insightful interviews and vivid reenactments. It's a fascinating look at the lengths to which individuals will go for love and freedom, questioning the very nature of confinement and the human spirit's desire to break free.
