Nathan Juran's "Jack the Giant Killer" transports viewers to a realm where fairy tales collide with dark sorcery. This 1962 fantasy adventure, starring Kerwin Mathews as the titular hero, pits a humble farmer against the malevolent sorcerer Pendragon. The narrative unfolds with classic fairy tale elements: a kidnapped princess, a perilous quest, and supernatural adversaries. Mathews capably embodies the everyman hero, while Torin Thatcher's Pendragon is a suitably menacing villain.
