IVAN THE TERRIBLE'S SECRET BUNKER UNDER MOSCOW | MYTH HUNTERS

Cinemavixion Review

This documentary delves into the enduring mystique surrounding Ivan the Terrible, Russia's first Tsar, a figure notorious for his brutality. The narrative centers on the compelling legend of a secret library, allegedly concealed beneath the Kremlin, brimming with ancient, invaluable texts. The film traces the journey of a 20th-century archaeologist driven to uncover this hidden trove, navigating perilous tunnels and evading the watchful eyes of Stalin's secret police. Ivan's own deep-seated paranoia, which led him to eliminate anyone privy to the library's existence, adds another layer of intrigue. For centuries, this repository was dismissed as mere folklore until the determined efforts of an archaeologist reignited the quest for this lost piece of history.
