Cinemavixion Review

Steffen Hacker's 2018 thriller, "INGENIUM," plunges viewers into a disorienting world where the lines between nightmare and reality blur for its protagonist, Felicitas. As her life unravels, she grapples with the terrifying possibility that her own mind is betraying her, or worse, that an external force is exerting control. The narrative hinges on her desperate attempt to uncover the truth, a quest that leads her to her best friend, Natascha, confined within the unsettling walls of an asylum. This German production, starring Erkan Acar, Anne Alexander-Sieder, and Raffael Armbruster, has garnered critical attention, including 8 wins, and offers a compelling, albeit unsettling, exploration of psychological dread. With a reported IMDb rating of 4.9/10, "INGENIUM" promises a tense and atmospheric cinematic experience for those drawn to psychological thrillers.
