DEAD OF WINTER

Cinemavixion Review

Robert Rice's "Dead of Winter" plunges viewers into the unforgiving Colorado wilderness, transforming a seemingly innocuous geocache treasure hunt into a brutal fight for survival. The film masterfully builds tension as teams, initially driven by competition, find themselves ensnared in a deadly game where the true prize is life itself. Dave Barclay, John Boylan, and John Carew anchor the narrative with performances that convey the mounting desperation and primal instincts that emerge under extreme duress. While the IMDb rating suggests a mixed reception, the film's premise offers a compelling exploration of human nature when pushed to its absolute limits, making it a worthy watch for those who appreciate survival thrillers with a sharp edge.
