IN DA CUT

Cinemavixion Review

Lamont A. Coleman's 2013 film, 'In Da Cut,' presents a comedic yet poignant exploration of early adulthood and the often-harsh realities of the entertainment industry. The narrative follows Michael, an ambitious young filmmaker, and his friends as they navigate the treacherous waters of Hollywood, chasing dreams of fame, fortune, and adoration. What begins as an idealistic pursuit of the cinematic life soon devolves into a sobering realization: in the world of show business, personal ambition often takes a backseat to the cold, hard mechanics of the industry. The film, starring Johnny Brown, Lamont A. Coleman, and Ray Diaz, reportedly earned one award and a 6.6 rating on IMDb, suggesting a modest but notable reception for this insightful look at the disillusionment that can accompany the pursuit of stardom.
