A LOVE THAT HURTS

Cinemavixion Review

Walter V. Marshall's 2013 drama, "A Love That Hurts," delves into the profound emotional landscape of a young couple grappling with unimaginable loss. The film, starring Matthew J. Boucher and Ayanna Fullilove as the central couple Chris and Samantha, navigates the delicate complexities of grief, betrayal, and the erosion of intimacy. As the narrative unfolds, the characters confront the harsh realities of their situation, revealing how trauma can fracture even the strongest bonds. While the film's raw portrayal of pain is undeniable, its exploration of resilience and the search for connection amidst adversity offers a poignant, albeit challenging, viewing experience. The performances effectively convey the characters' vulnerability, drawing the audience into their deeply personal struggle.
