I'LL SEE YOU AROUND

Cinemavixion Review

Daniel Pfeffer's "I'll See You Around" offers a poignant exploration of personal struggles against a backdrop of national crisis. The film centers on Lucas, an everyman whose journey through complex family relationships is profoundly impacted by the pervasive drug crisis. The narrative skillfully weaves together present-day challenges with echoes of the past, questioning the very nature of commitment and its potential to both anchor and burden an individual. The performances, particularly from Lazifa Gurbanova, Darlene Monroe, and Lucas Monroe, lend a raw authenticity to the characters' emotional landscapes. While the film delves into heavy themes, it does so with a nuanced touch, inviting viewers to contemplate the resilience of the human spirit and the enduring bonds of family amidst adversity. "I'll See You Around" is a thoughtful drama that resonates with its grounded portrayal of relatable human experiences.
