HAVANA DARKNESS

Cinemavixion Review

Guillermo Ivan's "Havana Darkness" plunges viewers into a claustrophobic nightmare, masterfully blending elements of thriller and survival horror. The film excels in its depiction of a desperate struggle for survival as three friends find themselves ensnared within an abandoned Havana building, transformed into a deadly labyrinth of traps. Ivan, who also stars, navigates the tension with a palpable sense of urgency, drawing strong performances from his co-stars Carolina Ravassa and Zach Rose. While the narrative hinges on a race against time, the film's true strength lies in its atmospheric dread and the inventive, often brutal, challenges the protagonists must overcome. It's a taut, engaging cinematic experience that effectively uses its confined setting to amplify the psychological stakes, making for a suspenseful watch that lingers long after the credits roll.
