GREENCARD WARRIORS

Cinemavixion Review

"Greencard Warriors" emerges as a poignant and timely drama, delving into the complex realities faced by an undocumented Latino family in Los Angeles, particularly in the shadow of war and political shifts. The film, starring Manny Perez and Vivica A. Fox, is anchored by a narrative that explores themes of sacrifice, belonging, and the often-harsh consequences of seeking a better life. The external data reveals the film, directed by Miriam Kruishoop, was released in 2013 and garnered significant attention with "8 wins & 4 nominations," underscoring its critical reception. Its plot, centered on a young teen named Angel caught between military service promises and the grip of a local gang, offers a compelling look at the immigrant experience in America. While the IMDb rating suggests a mixed audience reception at 5.5/10, the film's thematic depth and performances, particularly from Perez and Fox, make it a noteworthy examination of resilience and family bonds amidst adversity.
