GIRL IN THE PALMS

Cinemavixion Review

"Girl in the Palms" unfolds as a vibrant, introspective journey, charting Luna's transformative odyssey from tragedy to self-discovery. Director Jon Russell Cring crafts a narrative reminiscent of a modern Alice in Wonderland, where each encounter on the road south to Florida serves as a stepping stone in her quest for actualization. The film's strength lies in its evocative portrayal of diverse characters and illuminating adventures, from bohemian enclaves to the sun-drenched shores of Key West. While the external data suggests a runtime of 86 minutes and notes 10 wins and 5 nominations, the core of the film remains its compelling exploration of personal growth and the unexpected paths one takes to find oneself. It's a technicolor odyssey that promises a visually rich and emotionally resonant experience.
