FUTURE SOLDIER

Cinemavixion Review

Ed Kirk's "Future Soldier" plunges viewers into a gritty, near-future world where Captain Mo Harrington, a jaded bounty hunter, stumbles upon a conspiracy that threatens to unravel his existence. Set in 2002AD, the film, despite its modest IMDb rating of 3.0, offers a compelling narrative driven by its intriguing premise. Sean Earl McPherson anchors the film as Harrington, navigating a landscape of intrigue with a performance that captures the weariness of a man caught in a web far larger than himself. Yasmine Alice and Ellie Pickering provide solid support, adding depth to the unfolding mystery. While "Future Soldier" may not boast blockbuster accolades, it succeeds in crafting a focused sci-fi thriller that explores themes of betrayal and survival. Its compact runtime of 82 minutes ensures a brisk pace, making it an accessible entry for fans of independent science fiction looking for a story that prioritizes plot and character over excessive spectacle.
