FRISKY

Cinemavixion Review

Claudia Pickering's "Frisky" offers a refreshingly candid exploration of female friendship navigating the often-turbulent waters of early adulthood. Set against the vibrant backdrop of San Francisco, the film delves into the lives of two young women whose aspirations are tested by their evolving sexual interests and differing views on responsibility. The narrative, purportedly based on true events, excels in its honest, tongue-in-cheek portrayal of the 'limbo years' between college and settling into the 'real world'. Pickering, who also directs, crafts a story that is both crass and charismatic, capturing the complex dynamics of modern relationships with a sharp, authentic voice. It's a film that embraces the messiness of life, encouraging viewers to reflect on the enduring strength of friendship amidst personal discovery.
