FEED THE LIGHT

Cinemavixion Review

Henrik Möller's 2014 Swedish horror film, "Feed the Light," plunges audiences into the grim underbelly of Malmö. The narrative centers on Sara, portrayed by Lina Sundén, who accepts a cleaning position as a ruse to locate her vanished daughter. Her path intersects with a menacing janitor, played by Martin Jirhamn, forging a precarious partnership. Together with a small contingent, they descend into the abyssal depths beneath the city, venturing into a metaphorical and literal heart of darkness. The film, which garnered a single win according to external data and a 5.2 rating on IMDb, offers a descent into a claustrophobic and unsettling world. Despite its modest production and niche appeal, "Feed the Light" attempts to weave a tale of maternal desperation and existential dread within its grim, subterranean setting.
