FATHER STEPS OUT

Cinemavixion Review

Maclean Rogers' 1937 comedy, "Father Steps Out," offers a charming glimpse into the life of Joe Hardcastle, a man who seemingly has it all. With a successful cheese business and a loving family, Hardcastle's world is thrown into gentle disarray by the arrival of society swindlers. The film, starring the capable George Carney, Dinah Sheridan, and Bruce Seton, cleverly pivots the narrative, allowing the chauffeur to unexpectedly step in and save the day. This RKO production, noted for its comedic timing and engaging plot, provides a lighthearted and satisfying cinematic experience. While not a blockbuster, its warmth and wit make it a "gouda" choice for those seeking classic British humor.
