EYES AND PRIZE

Cinemavixion Review

Oliver Cane's "Eyes and Prize" offers a chillingly claustrophobic glimpse into the dark side of reality television. Set within the confines of a small apartment, the film follows four unsuspecting strangers who sign up for a "Big Brother"-esque experience, only to discover their participation is far more sinister than they could have imagined. The narrative expertly builds suspense, blurring the lines between manufactured drama and genuine psychological manipulation. With a runtime of 91 minutes, the British production, released in 2018, stars Jackson Bews, Nick Blakeley, and Gerard Mcdermott, who deliver compelling performances that anchor the unsettling premise. While it garnered one win and three nominations, "Eyes and Prize" is a thought-provoking thriller that questions the ethics of voyeurism and the toll it takes on its subjects, making it a worthy, albeit disturbing, watch for fans of psychological dramas.
