EXTINCTION: PATIENT ZERO

Cinemavixion Review

Joe Eckardt's "Extinction: Patient Zero" (2014) plunges viewers into a claustrophobic thriller where a team of scientists finds themselves in a desperate race against time. Trapped within a secure facility, they must determine if they have fallen victim to a virulent outbreak, all while the chilling exposure protocols loom as a potential final solution. The film, starring Corin Nemec, Rebecca Blumhagen, and Nick Stevenson, masterfully builds suspense as the characters grapple with paranoia and the grim reality of their situation. With a runtime of 80 minutes, "Extinction: Patient Zero" offers a taut and engaging narrative that questions survival, trust, and the lengths one would go to in the face of an unseen enemy. It's a compelling watch for fans of contained sci-fi horror that prioritizes psychological tension over gratuitous spectacle.
